The new Magento Enterprise release includes a drag-and-drop visual merchandising tool, and categories can easily be cloned or defined by rules, the company says. It also allows “hero products” or sale items to be prioritized in display. The new Visual Merchandiser was developed in partnership with Magento Gold Solution Partner On Tap Group.

“We’re excited to announce the latest updates to our Magento Enterprise and Community Editions, which empower merchants, including our large community of fashion retailers, to create unique shopping experiences across devices, driving sales growth,” said Mark Lavelle, senior vice president of global product and strategy, eBay Enterprise. “Magento Enterprise Edition reduces the time and effort required to manage product categories and enables faster technical issue resolutions. Both versions offer merchants deeper insights and performance improvements allowing them to scale and succeed online.”

The Enterprise and Community Editions now include “swatch” capabilities, allowing customers to see different product options with a click. They also both include a responsive design reference theme with an expanded feature set to improve consistency and efficiency by coordinating the site across devices.
